Abstract

The aim of the project is to provide the access to the unique illustrative graphic arts material with the guaranteed search system and printout from the Russian State Arts library. The CD given presents the peculiarities of the service uniform of the epoch of Tsar Nicholas I.
The Russian State Arts library stocks hold the collection of the Russian service uniform in a wide variety of its history, periods, arms of the service, etc. While working at films and performances production designers and directors use it as a necessary reference material.
The disk will be useful to producers, actors, historians, painters, designers, librarians, teachers, students of different institutes and military colleges, pupils and those who are interested in history.
To make the library stocks accessible to as much users as possible is the
purpose of the above CD. Moreover, the state of conservation of some illustrative materials forces us to withdraw them from free access right now.
