During the general meeting an Saturday the 14th the following resolutions were read:

1. On behalf of the Dutch participants Mr. Alexander proposed: The Eleventh Congress of SIBMAS would like to recommend that the board review the programme for future congresses taking into account the following points:

   a) have pre-prints of all papers and fewer papers read; this would result in more time for discussion.

   b) have workshop sessions devoted to specific problems of documentation, including exchange of Information an audiovisual techniques.

2. On behalf of the Commission of Basic Bibliography, led by Mr. Delsomme, the following resolutions were read by Mr. Tiusanen:

   a) In accordance with a proposition of the Commission of Basic Bibliography the Congress decides:

   1) to take - after consulting Mr. Hainaux - all possible measures to publish before the next congress some of the results of his work over the last 10 years.

   2) to trust to the president of SIBMAS - as collaborators to Mr. Hainaux - the appointment of 3 or 4 specialists in editing a basic bibliography of about 1,000-2,000 titles in French and English to be presented at the next congress and concerning the main subjects of the theatre.

   3) to ask the national centres or committees to make a select basic bibliography of their own country of about 50-200 titles.

   4) to give to the national centres or committees directives concerning size, format, title, description, order etc. to be used in the basic bibliographies, in order to secure a standard order for the publication.

   5) to stress the simple way of publishing the foreseen bibliographies in order to have an opportunity of commentary, additions, corrections etc.

   
   b) In accordance with a suggestion forwarded by the Commission of Basic Bibliography, the Congress invites each country to cooperate with the Institute de la Littérature des Arts du Spectacle by entering reference lists concerning the noncommercial publications about the performing arts not comprised in the national bibliographies.
