Seminar: Modelling & Uses of Performing Art Events Databases
Bi-lingual roundtable (English / French)
As part of its new Exoscène programme, the Centre SIBMAS de la Communauté française de Belgique (SIBMAS Centre of the French Community of Belgium) is organising an international seminar of best practice on the design, implementation and operation of databases of performing arts events.
By organising this seminar, the Centre SIBMAS de la Communauté française de Belgique offers designers and collaborators of such projects a real opportunity to share experiences, challenges and successes and broaden their questions through practical, up-to-date cases. How do you register valuable information, both current and historical, on performing arts events (theatre, dance, opera, street theatre, puppets, circus, etc.), on artistic and technical teams as well as on productions, co-productions and touring locations – on an essentially intangible cultural heritage?
Speakers at the seminar will be reputed national and international specialists from Darmstadt University (DE), Flinders University (AU), University of Oslo (NO), Archives du Spectacle (FR). Each of the sessions will be followed by a roundtable.
27 March 2017
Maison du Spectacle, La Bellone (Brussels, BE)
