The V&A is proposing to close its Theatre & Performance Department!
I have some very sad news concerning the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), in London. As a cost saving exercise, the V&A are proposing to close its Theatre & Performance Department. This is a world class collection of international significance.
Ex-Com have been thinking of ways to fight this badly thought-out proposal as the V&A Theatre & Performance collections are a keystone collection for the Performing Arts globally. I believe that the loss of this department at the V&A will have an impact across the profession internationally. Consequently, Ex-Com has put together a petition via change.org.

I am sure you all will be equally horrified at this development and want to do something to protest this closure, in the hope we can prevent it.
