Exhibition: You Say You Want a Revolution? – Records and Rebels 1966-70

novembre 17, 2016

This exhibition is curated by the Department of Theatre and Performance of the Victoria & Albert Museum and focuses on the social, political, and cultural changes of the latter half of the 1960s in the younger generation’s search for a better world, and how this has affected the way we live today. Music is the backbone of the exhibition, with a headphone sound-experience and LP covers from the collection of John Peel displayed throughout.
We explore revolutions around how people invented their own image, saw the world and explored their inner selves, liberation-, anti-war- and equality struggles, consumerism, festival culture, communications, computing and environmentalism.

Until 26 February 2017
Temporary Exhibition Space, Victoria & Albert Museum (London, UK)
