Kulturhuset Stadsteatern is a publicly funded cultural institution. Designed by the visionary architect Peter Celsing and built between 1968-1974, it is located right in Stockholm’s political and commercial centre. It is also a public space for all people in Stockholm. The activities include the largest dramatic theatre in Northern Europe (originally founded in 1960), six libraries, eight stages for literature, film, dance, music and debates and two galleries for art exhibitions. Annually KULTURHUSET STADSTEATERN have approximately 3 million visits.
