It’s with great pleasure the SIBMAS would like to announce that the Culture, Sports, and Tourism Bureau of the Government of Hong Kong have announced funding for our next conference in 2024.
SIBMAS and IATC proved to be worthy of financial support in the 11th funding round of the Arts Capacity Development Funding Scheme. With the proposal of “Documenting Performance: The 34th Conference of The International Association of Libraries, Museums, Archives and Documentation Centres of the Performing Arts, SIBMAS and the Collection of Hong Kong Performing Arts Criticism (1980-2010)”.

SIBMAS would like to thank Bernice Chan our new Vice President and co-chair of the conference for all her work (which has been considerable) to make this conference a reality. With the support of the scheme, IATC are going to present an online archive for Performing Arts Criticism in Hong Kong, at the same time as the 34th SIBMAS Conference in 2024.
It is proposed that our conference will be in a hybrid mode of presentation and is the first SIBMAS Conference to takes place in South Asia. The conference also has the welcomed support of The Chinese University of Hong Kong Library. We are looking forward to meeting practitioners of performing arts documentation, library and information professionals, curators, and artists from all over the world.
